Our Story

 

On the Spot was founded by Steve and Deanna Skinner, owners of Cross Court Pickleball, a growing network of Canadian pickleball facilities. What started as a shared love of the sport has evolved into a mission to make high-quality coaching accessible to everyone — no matter where they play.

 

Their passion comes from the heart of pickleball itself: the community. It’s a sport that brings people together — across generations, skill levels, and backgrounds — and On the Spot was created to keep that sense of connection alive online.

 

Through this platform, Steve and Deanna continue to build what they’ve always valued most: helping players improve, stay motivated, and feel part of something bigger than the game.
